Closer project
Elinor Carucci’s series “closer” inspires me to photograph in that style. Her collection includes pictures of her family and self in vulnerable states that most strangers don’t get a glimpse of. My subjects will be my sister, boyfriend, parents as well as myself in a few situations. I want to keep the aesthetic really simple and clean. Following my family around while they get ready for the day or for bed to capture the truly close photos. My family is very important to me, they are some of the only people that truly know and understand me. I decided to use my camera in a way that captures the true beauty of knowing someone this well. This project opens up my eyes to the view of a stranger seeing the intimate moments not meant for others.
