Opolo Series
This piece was part of one of my earliest major projects for my BFA. The assignment challenged us to reimagine an everyday object with an abstract or surreal twist, and I chose to create a wine decanter made of human arms. The project consists of five drawings, each exploring the inner mechanics of this imagined object, culminating in a depiction of the decanter in action. For the final piece, I used my favorite red wine, a 2018 Opolo Zinfandel, to paint directly onto the paper, adding a personal and tactile element to the work.
